Reptile Village Zoo director and creator, James Hennessy has been dealing with
these animals for almost three decades. He has worked with reptiles all over the
world including Cuba, Indonesia, West and North Africa, Venezuela and India.


James now spends his time running the zoo, lecturing in schools and colleges,
doing television and film work and travelling around the world on expeditions
helping to conserve these animals and working on human/animal conflict issues.


It is the mission of Reptile Village Zoo to conserve reptiles in the wild through
both education and captive breeding, to ensure future generations of these
amazing animals, which are essential to our planet.
Licenced by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, under the European
Communities (Licensing and Inspection of Zoos) Regulations, 2003 (S.I. no. 440 of 2003).
